The idea Trump was going to do time was always a masturbatory exercise. Schadenfreude appears like it was invented for him.

But going piss broke is a fate worse than death to him, and that is an entirely possible outcome.

Although his followers will tell you he still does have immunity from the risen Jesus- and nobody beats the Riz.

 

It's not just him. There is a lot of evidence, maybe circumstantial but it looks like solid evidence, that so many people in his administration and around him weren't just bad, they were willfully breaking the law and in some cases towing the line of treason or least sedition. We've seen what they've said, we've read it. They were breaking the law at will. Just look at all the violations of the Hatch Act, which maybe is not a big deal but it's a law that these people should have been following. None of them are ever going to suffer consequences for their illegal, corrupt behavior. The rule of law is a myth in this country, from the corruption of the Trump administration to the next shooting of a brown or Black man in this country. There are many layers of law and most of them work against the people and for the corrupt elite.

 

I agree with you, when someone on the television says we are a nation of laws I just smirk. What fkn movie have you been watching over the last five years
