Been riding this streak "for entertainment purposes" and went to bed thinking it was done. Incredible.

Tyler Glasnow trying to avoid Tommy John surgery after partial UCL tear, blames new MLB crackdown

I'm not sure if this was posted already, but Tyler Glasnow is blaming MLB's crackdown on the use of substances on the ball for his partially-torn UCL.

"I just threw 80 something innings and you just told me I can't use anything. I have to change everything," he said, via Bally Sports' Tricia Whitaker. "I truly believe 100% that's why I got hurt.

"I'm frustrated MLB doesn't understand. You can't just tell us to use nothing. It's crazy."

I understand people are going to say he is complaining about not being able to cheat, but it seems as if he has a point. Changing mid-season seems like a terrible idea. It is even worse this season when just about every pitcher is already at risk because they have to deal with a huge jump in innings from last year due to the shortened 2020 season.

Tanaka pitched effectively for years with a partially torn UCL.

So is the root of all the problems in MLB them fucking with the strings on the ball?

The Giants and Rockies could both set MLB road futility records this year, despite getting to play each other many times.

My worry is once you mess with the ball, can you ever really get it back to where it used to be? I don’t know much about the process, but I could see that being an issue.

Here's what will give seamheads wet dreams: The Giants uncovered the archways in right for the first time since 2019 on this home stand. There's been some saying keeping them closed has made Oracle more hitter friendly. Although the ball Yaz hit is going out no matter what.

Have at it, ballpark effects types

Keep them closed. It’s a neat thing in theory but that wind from the arches just kill most offense.

    Here is more from Glasnow.

"To tell us to do something completely different in the middle of a season is insane."
