    Saw a thread today calling out legislatures for being big on symbolism, clapping for essential workers, sending out tweets stating Black Lives Matter and now making Juneteenth a holiday but doing nothing to COMPENSATE said essential workers, or PASSING meaningful Police Reform measures and also CUTTING VOTING RIGHTS for black voters. I've seen a lot of measures in this state that seem like token measures - such as banning people convicted of hate crimes from state lands or parks (I would have gone further and made it all state property myself and made it a lifetime ban).

    Just seeing this. ... This guy pisses me off so much. The abridged version of the argument is that IQ scores for blacks are lower than IQ scores for whites, therefore genetically black people are dumber. And you can't change people's genetics.

    The problem is that people go down his rabbit hole with him and get sucked into convoluted arguments about why he is wrong. ... and their arguments are as inexact and backward as the one he is making. And they don't disprove anything, which gives fuel to his BS.

    There's only one thing that anyone needs to point out, and I have seen this multiple times throughout the years. If you look at the differentials in IQ scores on a time scale, the gap has been narrowing a lot over time. IQ scores of black people in the 1950s and 1960s were much lower relative to whites than they were in the 2000s and today. That is the ONLY evidence anyone needs that the IQ tests themselves aren't a pure test of anything genetic. Because nobody's genetics have changed during that time, yet somehow blacks closed the supposed intelligence gap relative to whites. People should just leave it at that and tell him to shove a banana up his wrinkled, racist ass.

    It's not even junk science. It's pure racist bullshit. I can't stand humans acting like they are measuring something that they aren't and trying to design things that they can't. We do it with regard to all kinds of things with really bad results. It's that much scarier when a shithead like this does it for a racist ideology.

    Cars and highways are racist.
    A new analysis of deaths on U.S. roads found that Black people were killed in traffic crashes at a rate almost 25 percent higher than White people in recent years, a disparity that appears to have worsened during the coronavirus pandemic….
    The GHSA study found wide differences among racial and ethnic groups. Hispanics, as well as Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, were killed at rates slightly lower than Whites, while Asians had significantly lower death rates. But American Indians and Alaska Natives were killed at much higher rates — more than twice the rate of Black residents.

    So, while cars and highways are racist, they like Hispanics and Asians more than whites.

    Highways are not inherently racist, but the people who bulldozed through untold urban neighborhoods to build them might be. I’d like to think it’s general ignorance more than racism, but who knows.
