Not sure there’s an easy one. It’s a little pollyannish to say “end the drug war!” because you can’t do that overnight but, that’d be critical to do.

People in all parts of civil service sectors are “quitting in droves?” You sure about that? Firefighters? Administrators? Accountants for the city? Judges? DAs? Quitting in droves?

Perhaps teachers are in some places.

They have a name for it and everything. And despite your wishful thinking, it isn’t just teachers.

“The great resignation”: Upwards of 40% of workers are thinking about quitting their jobs

If they did not defend the worst of their group, they wouldn't be getting shit on. They are responsible for the public's opinion.

Neat. I qualified my statement to civil service jobs. Maybe a lot of firefighters did quit. I’d like to see proof of it.

Roping in retail doesn’t seem relevant to me, given the story and the reason police are quitting.

Neat you qualified your statement to weasel out of “doing every other industry” where people are also quitting in droves. The workforce is quitting in droves. Shocking that another industry is following suit. Also shocking it’s an industry that is finally facing the music that they are not above the law.
