Winnipeg was also dogshit in the last month of the season, and they also won a playoff series, so, so much for form, I guess.

They played very poorly at seasons end without Price and he’s the main difference in their SC playoff success with assists from Caufield and Danault. Those catalysts were absent at seasons end. Remarkable run and Vegas probably can’t believe they lost.

This is the second time in his career Tomas Tatar got benched and his team went to the Stanley Cup Finals

The boy's mom had died recently. I believe this was in Toronto.

My daughter met Price when she was about 10. He was very quiet and kind. He's a big part of the reason why she played goal, wearing 31 and trying to look calm at all times.

My love for Carey Price kicked into overdrive the first time I saw that video. I love everything about the guy, the way he plays goal, his background, his humility and how he carries himself. I saw another video from the last couple of years. I may get the details wrong, but I believe he was on the road, it may have been in Chicago. ... and there was a little kid behind his goal who Price was trying to get a puck to. But there was netting protecting the fans behind the net and he couldn't get it through the netting to the kid. So the period ended and before heading to the dressing room, Price grabbed a puck and found someone off ice who worked for the arena and pointed out the specific kid and instructed the guy to deliver a puck to the kid. ... It never happened. So the rest of the game goes by, and before heading off the ice, Price took his game stick, instructed someone to bring it to the kid and made sure it got delivered.

Caps fan, much to my chagrin (except for 2018), not a Canadiens fan. But I've always loved Carey Price. And this is one of my favorite stories at my current workplace - I was one of the judges for our Top 30 in 2019 and this one jumped to the top of my pile and made the final cut. As it should have.

I need one of my Canadian friends to send me some Montreal gear. I'm all aboard this train.

The incredible series of random events behind Carey Price quite literally becoming Carey Price

I'm all aboard the Montreal train too. There are so many NHL teams I despise, but I have always been neutral toward Montreal, maybe even a little fond because of the Guy Lafleur, Larry Robinson teams I grew up watching. This particular roster gives almost anyone something to root for, unless you are say a Maple Leafs fan, and then I can get it. I remember watching the draft a few years ago in which a bunch of teams passed on Cole Caulfield, presumably because of his size, and every goal he has scored since he joined the team has looked like an FU to me. I enjoy rooting for players like that.

I was wondering if the Canadian posters root for the Habs the way us Yanks do
Always loved the Canadiens, even when they beat the Wings behind Pocket Rocket
Had a Cournoyer jersey for a while I bought at the Forum gift shop
