Seven Game 7s had ended 1-0, none of those had a shortie as the only goal. Last one before last night was Bruins-Lightning in the conference final in 2011. Nathan Horton scored the goal.

Probably the only real defensive mistake the Islanders made too.

Crowded Cirelli in the corner and Gourde jumped on the ice in a change unguarded. Hell of a pass from Cirelli to get it between Josh Bailey's legs.

The Lightning are great and it's going to be a fun final. But listening to Barzal's post-game presser and it's a harsh reminder of how hard this shit is to win and the emotions that come with falling short.

I finally got around to reading this. Great read for an Expos and Habs fan.

It still amazes me that a 5 tool player like Walker didn’t get serious about baseball until he was about 16. That’s just when minor baseball in Canada was starting to improve.

I do think being a goalie is good for mental toughness in any other sport. There is nowhere to hide.

I think the Tigers tracked even better when London had their AA team. It also helped back in the day when listening to games was more common than watching them.

In 1999 the Wings, coming off back to back Cups, took a 2-0 lead on the Avs in the second round then lost four straight
No matter how good you are, there comes a time when you dig deep and nothing’s left

This Blackhawks story is getting worse all the time. Daly says the league isn’t investigating.

Not getting much coverage in the hockey media.

Are you surprised that the rights holder and the rest of the insiders aren’t saying a word?

there is no chance in hell local and national media didn’t hear about this years ago.

Another shining example of the hockey’s old boys network.

Just saw the schedule for the Final. No weekend games until Game 7. Monday-Wednesday-Friday for the first six. Game 7 on Sunday the 11th.

I guess that is what NBC wants. Strange that the extra day off isn't when the teams travel.

Katie Strang asking tough questions. She’s not intimidated by the league. And Bergevin is full of shit.

Not related to the Cup but jeebus F. David Pastrnak's infant son died. How awful. Fandom doesn't matter here. This is just horrible news
