Ask her if she enjoyed it or she enjoyed the experience of being in the theater. Or both, I guess.

I've heard it was awful from multiple people.

I'm sure that was part of it for all of us. The first thing she said was that it was stupid. The plot and actions of the characters make little sense. The characters were over-the-top caricatures of what they were in the first movie. Elodie Yung was wise to sit this one out or lucky to be left out. I'm certainly not giving it a strong recommendation.

With our Theatre Kid daughter (who's been on conservatory rehearsals all the last two weeks), we saved "In the Heights" for Father's Day. A damn fine treat, and our first time in a movie theatre in 15-18 months, at least. We know the show well, but wanted to see it on the big screen with big sound. It delivered for us, and it was fun to see Anthony Ramos that kind of starring role. He absolutely jumped off the stage in Hamilton when we saw it in 2016, and we've been fans of his since.

The Chris Jackson cameo was a fantastic touch.

I didn’t catch that cameo right away. Only after watching the movie, and going on imdb, did I see that he was the ice cream truck guy. You’re right. Nice touch.

WW84 on flight home from California. Underwhelming. I agree with most of what I read (or at least what I think I remember) from this thread around release time. Doesn't come close to original, and the Steve Trevor revival had a couple of bothersome issues.

    Cruella.
Honestly, just delightful. Terrific soundtrack. Did not feel like a Disney movie.

Yeah. It really wasn't a zombie movie. Just, you know. zombies in it.

Yeah, but I’m not watching it for the subtle sub text.

    The zombies were worthless.
