Went to school in New Orleans. That's where I found out cockroaches can fly -- but only when it's above 87 degrees in insane humidity. Too hot and humid even for them.

Apparently, the secret to using a fan is placing it low to the ground and pointing it up as a 45 degree angle (if yours doesn't adjust) and maximizing air flow.

    Didn’t get above 80? Awesome.
How hot did the temperature get?

We don't do humidity here. Thank goodness.

110 in the PNW!?! Do folks have central air up there?

All of Southern Nebraska, essentially all of Kansas, all of Western Oklahoma and the panhandle of Texas are right in line for some big boy storms tonight and tomorrow.
And it's in the upper 80's. You walk outside, and you can just feel the storms coming.

All that rain that is missing the West is headed to the Southern Plains, it appears.

Chance of rain of 40% or more every day for the next 10 days. Every summer has been like this for the last few years.

I still expect that the switch will flip after the Fourth and it’ll be balls hot until the middle of September.

I think June is my least favorite month. It's miserably hot and humid. There is enough rain to force me to mow twice a week (about four hours each time). The dew point is so high, when things get wet, it takes forever to dry. That leads to bugs everywhere.

Still allergies in June here. I loathe August.
