You can tell which barbecue restaurants in the state are best because they don’t feel the need to split the Bama and Auburn decor 50/50.

I have to figure that someone close to both Nix and Milo's brokered the deal. That or a decision maker type at Milo's is an AU fan.

I just walk in there hoping that there's ten feet of wall with some UAB gear on it. A number of places who do get my money... assuming the food is good. I'm not *that* hardcore.

This year it *may* be okay as student-athletes who didn't have the extra income will start getting paid. Everyone could get a little more.

I work in TV and there is a finite number of advertising/marketing dollars in a market. After the 2021 season, some of the companies who pay athletes may look to see if there is a benefit or not. Perhaps there is. Perhaps not.

Yet, by 2022, you'll have a recruiting class coming in expecting to get paid, told by coaches they'd get paid. The QB will get a ton of money. Maybe 6-10 teammates of an elite team will make really good money.

That may be a real tough balance.

I think even more on basketball programs. Two or three guys getting paid and the rest get crumbs/nothing.

As pointed out by zombie Deadspin, Swinney vowed to quit if players ever got paid.

Maybe he will catch on with one of those teams dropping down to D-III

JFC, Emmert really needs to go back to campus to run the chemistry lab or something.

How did SMU handle the locker room jealously when Bubba’s Ford paid off some of the guys but not others?

Who cares? Why should the athlete not be able to make money off his own name?
