Missed the game, but watching the Phoenix NBC affiliate's late news online. That possession toward the end of the first half, when the Suns threws 10 passes before making a basket, may be one of the best I've seen.

But, good Tebow, what is it that turns local news reporters into such shrieking homers during the finals, wearing Suns T-shirts during their live shots? At least the sports guys are doing the suit-and-tie thing.

They do it here in Houston too, and maybe it's just my New England blindahs on, but I swear it wasn't as over the top in Rhode Island when it came to the Sox, Celtics and Patriots, at least until later years. Probably just a reflection on the profession in general - less jobs means you get the diehards sticking with it, whether it's because of journalistic ideals, the level of access, or the fandom.

I’m pretty sure every TV anchor in Tampa has a Bucs and Lightning jersey

If the Suns are up 10 in game three and the Buck foot gets underneath an ankle, again, I’m going to be pissed.

The answer is there is not one person in the viewing area that expects or wants the on-air people to be dispassionate or even-handed about the local team in the finals for the first time in 28 years. Not one.

We had two anchors outside the arena for game one. One was in a Suns jersey and the other was not. The one that was not got BURIED in hate mail. Game two last night he had on a Booker jersey. People like him again.

It's OK to be part of a civic celebration. The viewers not only are OK with that, they WANT that.

Dude, I live here and I'm watching wondering "who the fuck are these people?" It's like a rave at a trailer park.

I figured they were running shuttle busses in from Havasu.

With at least one free-range toddler blundering around past midnight in a shit-filled diaper.

Not the most elegant game tonight.

And Booker has to be smarter than this.
