I wouldn’t let Becky get close to a title right away. I would have her in a program with Charlotte. Spin it as unfinished business for WrestleMania, and Charlotte saying Becky needs to earn her place in line all over again.

That way you buy more time with Rhea and Bianca with the belts and build up their credibility, allowing Becky to help put over someone strong when they drop the belt.

As fun as Asuka is, I do miss the NXT version.

Great work all around that night, in and out of the ring. Epic indignation from Mean Gene and Schiavone.

It really was perfect timing with a perfect combination of events. The Internet was just starting; a lot of people didn’t have access yet, so there was that little bit of plausibility as to whether Hall and Nash really were representing the WWF, coupled with the shock of having wrestling’s biggest hero turn bad after all of these years.

Today, there would be endless online speculation, announcements that Hall/Nash had left the company, spoilers that Hogan was seen entering the building, and Hogan turning heel wouldn’t have been as shocking since we now can watch multiple videos of him being a heel in his early career.

Something like this can probably never be duplicated with the same impact.

Definitely would be very hard to pull off today although if you did it would be one of those things that would KO Twitter!

In AEW news, some guy tried to rush the ring last night during Jericho's entrance. Like any great heel MJF uses it as a chance to rip on the crowd.

WWE issuing a corporate press release and tweet everytime someone leaves kills surprises too.

Cornette made that point recently. In the 80s and 90s, you didn’t say you fired a guy because it killed his heat. The fans figured out he was fired when they stopped seeing him and he showed up on the other show.

Tommy End last night was about as close to a surprise as we’re ever gonna get. Surprises are the when now not the if

They used to have the “Loser Leaves Town” matches, which were pretty much the only time one might know that someone was leaving. And even then, they might come back a few weeks/months later.

There’s a story of a wrestler (I forget who), who lost a “Loser Leaves Town” kayfabe-era match. They were seen out in town a couple of days later and someone asked the guy why he was still there when he had lost. The guy said he left town by bus, then returned the next day and that fulfilled the stipulation.

    Thats devastating. Shes freakin incredible.

if they were staying in Florida I’d say put her on commentary with Cole and McAfee and keep her on TV like Miz. Dont know how realistic itll be for her to travel with rehab/surgery tho

Damn. She's been going strong since the NXT Bayley Buddy days with practically no injuries or time off.

So what do they do tonight? All the other women seem to be tied up with the Money in the Bank stuff. Do they just throw someone like Zelina in there with the history between them from last year's Mania? Maybe dig Mia Yim out of the moth balls? Can't believe they'll go with one of the other A-listers like Sasha or Becky tonight.

Lord. The schmuck who charged the ring at Dynamite said he did it for Jim Cornette.

Or keep her off TV, let her grow her hair back out, and reboot Hugger Bayley on the main roster like it should’ve been booked in the first place.

She can be a monster face upon her return.

Interesting that all the guys in the men's MITB match are faces aside from Morrison (who's mainly just a goof instead of a true heel). Guessing that'll put Seth in the last spot.

RIP to Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox's careers. "Shotzi and Nox?" Really???
