Yep. Welcome to the dirty South, where if it is only white people in a conversation they assume you are “in” and feel free to let their casual racism flag fly. Seldom if ever an actual n-bomb but all the hits from the well-worn code book.

At the All-Star Game, a Dimmer Stage for Black Players

Disparate impact in Major League Baseball, only 1 black player was selected to the All Star Game.Clear evidence that MLB intentionally discriminates against black players.

Repent and make amends. Give away your money and house to the poor people you’ve oppressed, as part of racist establishment, it’s the least you can do

    Dear God. YES!

Can I also say how much I hate Social Justice Warriors? From Nashville?

There were three people in this Zoom thingie on racism in academia I knew: Mah own self, a former classmate, and a preening East Nashvillian who once told everyone in a local vegan group that Bryant Terry was not a reliable barometer when it came to weighing the racism behind the Thug Kitchen books and SHE was vurry sen'stive ta raysissm and SHE would know. Not Bryant Terry. Why would we defer to his sayso anyway?

    This is Bryant Terry:

So we are listening to a woman in Madison, Wisconsin talk about the challenges of being a Black person in academia where people may have good intentions but be fairly cloistered and not informed about what is going on in the rest of the world. She pauses for a moment, and Miss East Nashville cleared her throat.

"Ihhhmmmm... It's not, like, a big, big, like deal. But, like, when you say (redacted)? Every time you, like, say it? You mispronounce it?"

There was a long pause. No one seemed to be moving except my former classmate, who was furiously typing.

The Madison professor looked slightly pained, but she was obviously trying hard to be patient.

    "(Redacted) is my name."

"Oh. Wow. Did you, like, give that to yourself or...?"

"My parents gave me that name. It's Swahili."

Now you and I and most anyone with the sense God gave a stalk of bok choy would not have said anything in the first place, much less worked under the delusion we had anything to add. Not her.

"Are you shurrrr? Like, I've had two semesters of Swahili, and..."

Someone else in the room: "Where are you from?"

    "Nashville!"

    Kill me now.

My former classmate, barked, "Shut up!" and then she was muted. If I read her lips right, she also said, "Eat a bag of dicks, you hag!"

If this is woke, I want no part of it. This idiot has lectured POC about how they should feel, what they should say, and what is worth their time and attention. She's best known for throwing tantrums whenever BLM groups asked allies to allow them some safe space. I just....I just can't with SJWs. These are not people adding anything to the conversation or expending energy on actually making the world a better place.

People are in a blind panic about teaching Critical Race Theory. I’d be thrilled if they would start teaching the concept of It’s Someone Else’s Turn To Talk. We are a nation of wannabe op-Ed columnists convinced everyone needs our pearls of wisdom on every topic.
