He was the main baddie in the first Blade movie, if you saw it. He also was Emilio Estevez's brother in Judgment Night, a so-bad-it's-entertaining early-'90s movie. Jeremy Piven got chucked off a fucking roof by the dude from House of Pain. It was glorious.

Dorff was surprisingly good in season 3 of True Detective.

Oh, I bailed on that after S2. Was S3 any good?

I think there have been a few different threads on AoM over the years, focusing on: Megan Carter (Sally Field) living in a luxury penthouse and driving a then-snazzy sports car on a city reporter's salary as well as Wilford Brimley's career defining lines.

Good call, a quick search found a few. Carter's car was sporty but the stranger one to me was Newman's K-Car wagon. And man, how effing great was Brimley.

Newman's wagon didn't strike me as strange: they made a huge point of how much Gallagher wanted to stay out of the gang scene.

So it made sense he wouldn't drive a big fancy car but instead drive a humdrum everyday car that could also be used for work ... to some extent.

But if you put more than about four cases of beer in the back, you'd bottom it out. K-car wagons were not exactly heavy haulers.

Excellent. With the best aging makeup/effects I've ever seen.

True on all points. I had just forgotten that the K-car came in a wagon. And to think that Newman the great amateur racer drove that in a movie ... he had to laugh.

Just watched King of Kong: Fistful of Quarters again. So goddamn mesmerizing.

Steve Wiebe is a good person. Billy Mitchell has no fucking balls.
