Would the FBI say it if it was connected? Might cause a panic.

They were pretty declarative and Denver police have clammed up today, so, yeah, I think they would say if it was connected.

Alotta shooting ranges in and around Denver.

They could've said we were going to spend the weekend shooting at the ranges. Or in the woods.

Here's a picture on Google Maps from a room at the Maven. Isn't that Coors Field?

Sure is. Rooms on the fourth and eighth floor were where the four people were arrested.

Good to see The Maven finally monetizing its journalistic riches.

Just a note to say how TV isn't showing Dusty Baker enough in shades, mask and gloves, never moving.

    He's obviously asleep.

Rocker's stock has fallen -- or perhaps I should say his projected landing spot has moved down the draft order -- because his fastball velocity declined briefly during this season and because his agent is Scott Boras. Mainly the second one.

Unrelated note: Last year's No 2 overall pick, the Arkansas OF whom the Orioles chose in this little game of salary manipulation, has myocarditis. The team won't commit to saying he'll ever play again.
He'll become only the second player taken first or second and from a four-year college to fail to make the Majors. The other one is Mark Appel (Astros 2013), the Stanford pitcher.

They made no secret of the fact that they had a group of players they would consider and the one willing to accept the least money was going to be their guy.

Maybe there were draft rankings out there that had Davis at No. 1 overall, but I haven't seen one. Most had him in the top five.

Yup. Rocker fell to the Mets at No. 10.

Went to Fenway yesterday for the first time. An amazing experience.
