Zach Johnson out after positive Covid test, credited God for getting him through the tour tests to this point.

Unless there is some extenuating circumstance, I guess God let him down this time.

There's a reason every time I see him over a wedge I'm hoping "just a little short into the drink."

I’ve already got my alarm set for 11:59 Wednesday Night.
I really hope the peacock pulls this off from over here…….Part of me wishes that BBC/Sky Sports just does it…..plug Bones, Mr Michelob, Wood into their on course and just use them.

I am curious to see what they do on Alliss……first Open since his passing.

God was kinda wondering if the positive test had come after the overseas flight, would everyone on board have been contact-traced out of the Open?

I left every putt short this week, apparently as a tribute.

The Open Championship is just such a wonderful event. It's like somebody took a John Deere mower to a hay field, stuck 18 flags in the ground and said, "Have at it, boys." It's golf at its most elemental.

Bam Bam proving again this morning that hitting it far isn't nearly as important as hitting it in the correct position. For a supposedly brilliant guy, he sure seems stupidly bullheaded.

Open trivia: My late pediatrician did his residency in Scotland, played regularly at St. Andrews in the Fifties for a fee, he said, of one pound a round.

It works on a lot of courses. Not this one, though.
