    In fact, soccer haters going back to the 1970s broadly used to invoke the Home Run Derby as a comparison to other sports.

    I'm wondering why does USA Baseball have jurisdiction over this? Because they're amateur teams?

    Also, why cut all the players and disband the franchise? Why not just get rid of the one guy?

    Magnante fired as Doughboys manager; many players quit as well

    But this is now a summer collegiate league. I guess maybe they can get some per diem, but most of these teams are within a 30-minute drive of one another.
