Climate Change? Nahhh ...

Climate change has always been obvious. The question is: How much of it is triggered by human behavior that can also be reasonably changed without the initiatives turning into Well, whatever elites still want to do, they'll do - like have four carbon-footprinting kids and big homes and gas stoves and airplane flights around the world - while the rest of the dregs shut up and live in tiny houses.

Something that can be reasonably changed: Lawn care.

    1. Water overnight or in the early morning to prevent evaporation.
    2. Use a reel mower to save on gasoline (and get more exercise!)
    3. A little brown as the summer goes along is not the end of the world. It's not dead, it's dormant. It will come back.

Our lawns (and yards) don't have to be the 12th green at Augusta National.

Reel mowers are great if you live on a postage stamp sized lot. Bring one to Alabama in July and mow what I do and they're a recipe for a heat stroke.

The only people who are questioning whether humans are responsible for this drastic and sudden change in climate patterns are those who don’t want to give up property rights and their cars. Or are deep in the pockets of oil companies. At this point with all available evidence, it’s just willful ignorance to pretend there’s even a debate.

The bottom line is that no matter what humans think when we look at them, our atmosphere, oceans, land, and rivers are not infinite and galaxy sized. If you dump enough pollution and trash into the ocean you reach a point where when we reach the bottom of the Marianas Trench we find plastic trash there. As to the atmosphere:

How much carbon dioxide does the United States and the World emit each year from energy sources?
The U.S. Energy Information Administration estimates that in 2019, the United States emitted 5.1 billion metric tons of energy-related carbon dioxide, while the global emissions of energy-related carbon dioxide totaled 33.1 billion metric tons.

Billions of tons start to add up over time, yes?

And don't blame volcanoes, Jimmy Buffett:

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the world’s volcanoes, both on land and undersea, generate about 200 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually, while our automotive and industrial activities cause some 24 billion tons of CO2 emissions every year worldwide.

As ably demonstrated on this thread, American white evangelicals are happy to roll it up into their greater persecution complex as well.

This is kind of what I mean tho.

Augusta gets to stay Augusta. People who take great joy in having the lawn just so have to save the world. It’ll be the same with, say gas stoves. The dregs will get electric because climate. The millionaires will get whatever they want.

    Climate change
    Vaccines of all kinds
    Regulation of guns
Labor deserves to participate in capitalism
    Safety regulations
    Health care
    Child care
    Education

there’s only one group who opposes all that. Same group opposed to progress.
White Christian Americans. Unfortunately they are the majority in enough states to maintain the ability to impose their hate on everyone else.

I love how you cut off the other thing I said about politicians.

And I didn’t say homes, I said property rights as in the right to say what happens on a piece of property. Basically people who don’t want to change how they live and function because that is their God given right: Life, Liberty, Property.

I suppose I should have also included the easily manipulated fools.
