Yeah, they kind of buried the lead, though, with the "learn more" caveat. What more is there to learn? The shots work.

How about every coach just saying, "Get vaccinated, assholes, so we know we'll be able to play this fall!!"

Coach O took part in a campaign to encourage mask-wearing last year. He must have gotten grief for it because the next time we saw him, he was sucking up to Pence.
Coaches have political issues that a commissioner can often avoid. We will see.

They don't give a damn for anyone and there's no reason to give one for them.

I feel guilty that I can’t muster empathy for them. It goes against my conscience and my belief system to think that way. But they’ve broken me. At this point if my parents or my brother get it (unvaccinated all) I doubt that I will get overly emotional about it, because I’ve watched them drift off to a parallel intellectual universe for several years now. Even before I ever heard of this virus I’ve been braced for impact.

Ron DeSantis flak makes a case against masking by fat-shaming a woman and claiming a healthy diet, exercise and losing weight works better than masks:

Well, no shit ... diet, exercise and losing weight also helps ward off cancer, heart disease, lung disease and almost anything else.

I suppose she's forgetting that even if someone who's overweight arrives at the same decision, it's going to take about six months or a year to get to the point where she thinks you're skinny enough to be healthy. She also doesn't explain how world-class athletes such as Von Miller were knocked on their ass by the virus.

She should have tweeted that to the Orange Cheeto's account about nine months ago.

Saw an old guy with a shit-eating grin on his face walking around a public event wearing a shirt that said "Unafraid, Unmasked and Unvaccinated" Honestly, what an a-hole. Probably cashed every one of the stimulus checks too he's such a patriot.

I’m sorry they don’t see the value (and total ease) in getting the vaccine. I mean that. It was the easiest thing of all time and outside of a sore arm for a day, had no negative effect on my life.

I know many people like this. They've taken leave of good sense, they're in too deep and they're not coming back.
I don't want them to suffer but how can they be regarded at this point as anything other than unsaveable?
Like the Confederates they'd rather lose the fight than admit to the mistake.

I get it with dad, even if I don’t agree. Air Force doctors ignored the notes in his medical records that he was not to get a smallpox vaccination and he had a severe reaction that led to a disability discharge. But even if that hadn’t happened, I doubt he would have been any better than mom or my brother at tuning out the messaging from their evangelical social circles in the micropolitan South.

I think what I’m subconsciously doing is starting the grieving process now so that it doesn’t crush me all at once.
