That’s backwards from what I’d’ve expected.

Think about it... the average age of Cup Rookie of the Year was probably in the neighborhood of 30; now, that's a grizzled veteran.
Most of these jokers couldn't find the bullrings of North Carolina, South Carolina, Northeast Tennessee, North Georgia let alone have ever turned a lap there.

And maybe, on the other end of the scale, guys leaving the sport at younger ages. Seems like a lot of the drivers from the past would hang around well into their 50s, and even then had to be dragged kicking and screaming from their rides. Now you see a lot of the top stars wrapping it up in their early 40s even if they seem to have plenty of mileage left from a competitive standpoint.
Near as I can tell there are only four full-time Cup drivers in their 40s right now, with Kevin Harvick the oldest at 45. It's like they start younger but finish younger as well.

    Oh, man.

How mad is KyBu right now?

They’re interviewing him now — yep, he’s pissed.

And he had already hit the pace car.

That was the most restrained I’ve ever seen Kyle Busch.

Shades of the 2001 Winston, except there won’t be backup cars and live engine swaps.

I see that it’s green again in Loudon. I feel like it’s a tight squeeze to get the full distance in by dark.

Sunset is late this time of year in New Hampshire.

8:23, according to the weather apps.

If they go right up until then they might be able to do it if there are no cautions.

Awfully overcast, though. Sounds like it’s pretty damn dark despite what you see on TV.

    Will be shortened by darkness.

Almirola? Without Denny taking his seat this time?

    Almirola beat. Who had that?

And it was Stewart-Haas’ first win of the year. In July. Who had that?
