Finding a big was going to be an issue. I don't remember why Zion pulled out but he would have been an interesting add. The Duncan Robinson talk was something that could have been a good fit considering his one skill paired with this roster.

I don't understand why Ja Morant was never a serious candidate.

I'll do my part as usual by not watching . . . any of it

 

I love the Olympics. I love watching sports that I only see every four years. And I really love it when the time zone differential means there are live games on TV in the morning and early afternoon.

That said, I still can't believe they are trying to hold these games.

 

I was just surprised Japan was far behind the vaccination curve. I still can't believe they are allowing unvaxxed athletes. You want take the risk of all those years training and blow it now? You trust those hundreds of other athletes from countries with a lot lower quality of life - you don't mind the possibility that YOU could cost some other poor schmuck their shot at the Olympics? I mean, where is the Olympic idealism here?

 

I’d be absolutely stunned if they cancelled at this point, when you already have most athletes there. I thought it was reasonable a month or two ago,

 

Have we had a good explanation why athletes aren’t getting vaxed? Are they that worried about the side effects?
