Screw the A’s; worked in Oak for 30 yrs and tired of their “woe is me” whining.

Costs are higher here and public funds are less available but guess what? It’s just like housing costs, it’s part of cost for being in CA and not the desert.

The A's have threatened to leave since Charlie O. moved them there. They were on their way to Denver in 1978, if I recall. So it's been over 40 years of idle threats. Fremont. Sacramento. Portland. Las Vegas.

Stay or leave. Just make a decision.

Get that done. Then put the Rays in Nashville and take that stalking horse off the market.

Whoever expects a pot of gold from the Nashville market is going to be heavily disappointed.

Not a defense, but worth noting the Stockton players are staying in hotels even at home since MiLB won't allow them to stay with host families over covid concerns.

But, yeah, time for the A's to shit or get off the pot. And whatever happened to Selig's "blue ribbon" committee? And add to @maumann 's list San Jose, where a planned ballpark near SAP Center was blocked by the Giants.

My understanding is that the Rays draw strong local TV ratings. They just need a modern park in Hillsborough County.

I still can't believe the Rays haven't seriously inquired into the old Derby Lane dog track property. Seems like the perfect location to draw from both St. Pete and Tampa.

Lot of blame aimed at LaRussa for throwing him under the bus

Quite a season. Rules April. Retires before August. Slid out the door by a cretin.

Hopefully this is just a temporary thing for Mercedes. Domingo German announced via Instagram last summer he was retiring and came back (I think most people would have been happy to see the domestic abuser stay retired).
