    Your first Olympic champion of Tokyo 2021 is Yang Qian of China, who won the women's air rifle. Shooter from the Artists Formerly Known as Russia had the lead going into the last round and blew her last shot (which is to say she missed by like 3 mm). Swiss get the bronze, best US finisher was sixth.

    Ok, here's my first Olympic thought/feeling (I'll add I am probably more pro-Games in general than most folks). Sports events without spectators suck. I'm used to it, because of 2020, but I still hate it. Kind of a metaphor for the entire world vs. covid situation. Enough improvement so that we can try to do things, but we can't do them normally yet.
