I have a DVR, but so far, the early morning live events I'd like to watch (gymnastics, a local swimmer's heat) have been on Peacock, not TV. I can use the (so far) commercial-free feeds and DVR to watch replays at my convenience -- and they're linked to the NBC Olympics results page. But it doesn't help me watch live events when they're actually live.

(We can separately debate how the Olympics organizers messed with the way some sports normally run to favor United States prime-time TV. I also wish I could watch the CBC instead of NBC.)

Oh, come on, NBC. You really expect us to believe someone still uses a typewriter?

The US has more gold medals in Rifle than in Swimming so far in 2020/21, winning both men's and women's skeet. Let's hear it for the Second Amendment and blasting away at stuff. You can take away our fancy damn swimming pools but not our guns.

EDIT: Both Vincent Hancock and Amber English went through AAAAAARMY training, sir!

I do, which is why I’ve already blown through all the canoe slalom stuff to date and am now trying to kill time by watching the mothership.

Had it on USA Network while working today, and they seemed to do a decent job actually sticking with stuff.

Thanks for that visual, da man. I will never watch that sport again without laughing my butt off at the idea of some masked forbryter in Norway knocking off the local 7-Eleven and skiing away from the et politi.

Lilly King trolling us all by running interference like Dale Sr. so the South African girl didn't track Alaska's Lydia Jacoby.

The kids in Seward, Alaska, can celebrate until way after sunset tonight, which isn't until 10:42 p.m. local time.

Rugby 7s should be a much bigger sport than it is. So fast-paced, so fun to watch.
