My wife, who is not an Olympics fan (or even a sports fan, really) said it made her tear up.

 

I am a huge Rowdy Gaines fan.

 

I couldn't get over the fact when the TV announcers said she swam out of the only 50-meter pool in the state of Alaska.

 

Osaka ousted by Vondrousova. Lost the first set 6-1 in just 24 minutes.

 

Dan Hicks and Rowdy Gaines are easily the best announcers at the Olympics.

Knowledgeable, observant, strike the right balance between educating the audience and not talking down, and buckets of enthusiasm.

I’m a third shifter and only watch sporadically, but was assuming he’d be brought in for all the finals races.
