I know the brand isn’t there yet, but they are playing some serious football up there.

The Big Ten chatter is going West
The thought is since there’s nothing left in the Big 12, try to break off USC, Cal, Washington and Oregon and maybe North Carolina and Virginia
    AAU schools all

It's nice to live in the Northeast and not give a crap about college football.

Correct. And one of the big reasons why the stagnation of the program under Fuente is such a big deal. Tech has a decent men's hoops program and a smattering of other OK sports (soccer, softball, track) but if football is perpetually in the 7-5/6-6 cycle, then Tech is totally irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Just looked it up, and Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Cal, Stanford, USC and UCLA are all AAU members. So there's nine possible universities that meet Big Ten AAU standards.

The Big Ten-Pac 12 have shared an unofficial alliance for decades, and an official one in the Rose Bowl. Combining those two conferences would represent a formidable challenge to an SEC with Texas and Oklahoma.

    The Big Pac!

Watch the erosion start right away without Leipold.

It would be legitimately hysterical to see a MAC team added to the Big Ten.

Actually, from what I read many of the holdover Bulls were ecstatic about getting a much-younger head coach.

It'll never happen, but the P5 would do just as well if they went with a CFA-style group and let that group sell various packages to CBS, ABC, and ESPN. Ninety percent of the revenue is distributed evenly to each member, and 10 percent can be based on records and ratings.

He's 37, never been a HC, never been a coordinator. Players coach.
