I'd love to live in Eugene. Or Corvallis.

    That's all.

In terms of March Madness, C-USA gets one team in. The rest "don't meet the eye test", mostly because of conference games against the bottom half, crappy teams. So the conference members split one share, maybe two if that team advances. Moving to any conference which regularly gets more than one team in is an automatic raise all by itself.

My actual alma mater doesn’t play football, but the one I transferred out of not only has football but is closer. That said, when I think of all the gameday shenanigans — especially the crowd — you have to deal with, I keep circling around to the fact that if I’m not working in the press box or on the sidelines, I’d rather stay home.

Wait … are they trying to scare ESPN into not reporting the story?

Looks like the other conferences are going after the puppet master. This might get fun. The lawyers are going to make out, for sure.

So add the other conference blowback to ESPN meddling and SEC Commish Sankey helping set up the twelve team playoff while the SEC was negotiating with UT and OU and this gets to be quite the set of conspiracy charges. Sankey was on the three man committee who came up with that format while he was also the only one involved that knew what was about to happen.

I seem to recall a couple of folks on this board wondering why the SEC went for twelve teams so easily. Am I wrong?

Absolutely no money at UTEP. No heavy hitters. And certainly nobody of the level of the guy at Houston, whose name I can’t remember.
