I think I’m in one of the discussed fantasy leagues and have no clue what’s going on.

Which is likely why I’m currently sitting in 10th place out of 12 teams.

"Ain't that the truth". Dude, you were vaccinated against the measles when you were 2, NOW you're concerned about vaccines? As 650,000 people die?

Songbird is far more pissed off about the final result. :)

I was in a work fantasy league about a decade ago that got real messy over stuff like this. Not good for business. I think it was the last time I played.
Of course I am saying this as someone who nearly came to physical blows with a guy over a game of Axis & Allies sometime in the Bill Clinton '90s.

    At any rate-

I'm about to become a Padres fan. They may not always make the best move but damn, they aren't afraid to spend money

Heyman claims that isn't a done deal. It looks like Scherzer is going somewhere, but there may still be a chance it isn't the Padres who get him.

Source being Mike Rizzo trying to drive up the price? It's interesting to follow the national guys this time of year; it's obvious who some sources are.

Last time the Giants acquired a stud SP at the deadline it was Jason Schmidt, who did pretty well in the SF uniform.

Heyman breaks all the Boras news
I would guess he’s the source

Is Scherzer a Boras guy? Makes sense then. He may want a specific team getting involved.
