A reasonable person would see that and say, "You know, I was wrong."

    He said
What the fuck is wrong with this guy?

People don't publicly say one thing and say another in private.

I just saw a trailer for Abbott’s new favorite movie. It was glorious.

    Biles is "very rich!?!"

While the idea of being 24 and worth a couple of million is appealing, it diminishes when you realize she's getting ready to retire from competition. That's a long, long time to live off her previous earnings and whatever else she'll make for coaching, doing appearances and pbp for TV broadcasts.

And not learning a damn thing, NBC has now annointed Suni Lee as the next Simone Biles. Good gracious, just enjoy the victory and stop trying to make every one of them Superwomen.

Call him a quitter every time he throws in the towel for one of his fighters.

Biles stepped down because her head isn’t right. If your head isn’t right while flipping your body round and round hoping to land on your feet, you’ll break your neck.

So your “friend” isn’t just wrong, “he’s” fucking wrong.

"Nobody will publicly go against what she did. We both know that. I don’t even care that she quit. She’s a quitter in my eyes and I would never want her on my team again. I want someone I can trust when we go to battle and she quit. I’d rather go down with my best player than left hung out to dry because they quit. That’s a black and white non-debatable opinion in my eyes. The nauseating thing about this situation is this ridiculous Twitter applause she’s getting for quitting. This is high level elite athletics that has made her very rich and has other people’s livelihoods on the line. You cannot quit. It goes against the core principle of team sports when you do that."

What this tells me is that he has absolutely no idea how the scoring works. Setting aside that she would have endangered herself, Biles going out and having a poor performance would have dragged her team down. They would not have gotten that silver medal. It's not a matter of gutting it out in order to not let her team down. She sacrificed her dream of her own volition so that the other's chances were not hurt and they won their medals.

Do we hold the unvaxxed athletes who test positive for Covid to the same standard as Biles?

Gotta say - enjoyed "catching up" with the 5 minute daily highlight packages. Good overview of what went on, interview snippets, a mishap/injury here and there and not wholly centered on TeamUSA.
