Then start sending some of these churches a tax bill. It's time.

John’s right about some stuff. Anybody can be. America is not specially chosen, for example. Correct. It isn’t. People who believe it is believe a false thing.

He also, pretty clearly, puts Jesus into the precise progressive Democrat box that pleases John. When a deity tends to think the way you think, you’re pretty much your own deity.

Some? That’d be an all or nothing kind of operation, wouldn’t it?

How's the joke go? God created man in His own image, and man's been returning the favor ever since.

One of the major talking points of the anti-abortion movement is that why should anti-aborts have to pay for others' abortions with their taxpayer dollars. Well, why should I have to pay more in taxes just because I don't believe in Jesus?

The option's there for you to reduce your taxes by donating to your preferred house of worship ... after all, Planned Parenthood's a 501(c)(3) entity, too.

Interesting. So Planned Parenthood should be filing lawsuits claiming that all anti-abortion laws are against their religious liberty?

This highlights something I was talking to my wife about this weekend; as a non-believer, a minority, growing up in the US in the 60's/70's, who was taught by his grandparents/parents Taoism (you pray to your ancestors), Christianity was lorded over me my whole upbringing by Mainstream US businesses/US leaders/local leaders/ and most importantly my local schools and my peers. Either you're a Christian or you are an outsider who is only worth the effort of saving, but no respect for my beliefs.

Against that backdrop I continually saw, and have continued to see to this day, those who were supposedly "honorable" and "great Christians" "lapse" and "fall from the grace of God." Nevertheless, people of different faiths and beliefs, such as my grandparents, great-grandparents, and those of my friends, are subject to contempt and looked upon with disdain even though those people were never given the slightest respect for their beliefs or compassion.

That is how I view Christianity in America. Is it simplistic? Yes. Are Christians a monolith? No. But on the whole, that's the overarching message.
