Was watching a bit of the equestrian eventing - pretty much an obstacle course on a golf course. Worth checking out. The camera work was amazing.

This British horse that's going to win is a 14-year-old gelding. And they say that the human athletes have made sacrifices to be Olympians.

Individual three-day won by a German woman. Riders are of both genders, and this is the first female winner. Greatest moment in "Horse Girl" history?

Did NBC have no idea where the games were when they bid on the rights? Betting blind when the only opponent is a cheating dealer is stupid. they’re adults and they knew what they were getting into.

The Chinese divers are wearing more 200-mph tape on their bodies than a Cup car after the Big One at Talladega.

Nope. They signed a deal in June 2011 for Games through 2020. Tokyo wasn't awarded the Games until 2013. Pyeongchang didn't get the games until 2013.

NBC signed its latest extension -- through the 2032 Games -- in 2014. Beijing didn't get the 2022 Winter Games until 2015. Yes, three straight Games in Asia -- South Korea, Japan, China.

It gets a little better in 2024 (Paris), 2026 (Milan), 2028 (L.A.), but 2032 is in Australia.

Women’s team handball is as exciting as women’s basketball.

I wonder at what point cities quit lining up to lose a bunch of money.

Or just go on a rotation.

    L.A., London, Tokyo, wild card.

Tom Brady at the end of the Subwat commercial is the winner.
