2021 MLB Regular Season thread

Teams can avoid being cheap without being stupid at the same time. The Pirates are always the former and often the latter.

Also, McCutchen is making $20 million this year, with a club option next season, not $30 million.

That one, I have seen before. There have been a half-dozen or so this season that I've never seen before.

 

I think that's an automatic two-base advance if there's a runner on base. Seem to remember the Dodgers winning a game that way under Lasorda.

 

Meanwhile, the Astros are a Dodger Stadium. Even on TV, it’s the loudest non-pennant race regular season crowd I’ve ever heard. Altuve and Correa have been loudly booed
