Yeah, I forgot to mention that yesterday. A little before my time, but I remember his little comeback as a manager of Paul Orndorff (RIP) and Paul Roma in WCW in the early 90s. Still cut excellent promos back then. RIP.

His last champion as a promoter (after the split from WWE)? To this day, the only individual championship Xavier Woods has won in his pro wrestling career.

Good for Tony Khan for taking blame on Max Caster rapping about Simone Biles and the Duke lacrosse trial.

WWE should've had the same sense about Charlotte's Simone line.

Damn. Cody took a glorified squash against Black in the main event. Wasn't expecting that.

An awful day for wrestling in the South. And only about a month after his wife passed.

Yeah, and Bert Prentice, who was a prominent promoter in Tennessee and was known as Christopher Love as a manager for a lot of years died the day before. He worked a lot with Lawler and gave a lot of young wrestlers their first break.

Between Jody Hamilton, Prentice and Beautiful Bobby, this has been a really sad week and it’s only Thursday.

Beautiful Bobby was a helluva worker in the ring and is probably on the Mount Rushmore of universally loved guys in the business. We’ll be seeing a lot of kind tributes to him in the next few days. RIP.

10 minutes of awesomeness right here. Bobby gets to show off some personality and Regal is hilarious.

I'm guessing Cody will take time off from the ring with Brandi and their newborn (and their upcoming reality show) and make a glorious return down the road.

Not to sidetrack this from Bobby Eaton, but Regal has always been so good at comedy and an incredible promo guy, even while still being a great pure wrestler and fighter.

I mean, really ... what in the holy fuck? Some of those guys and gals are practically anonymous, but Reed, Fish, Atlas, Ruff and Martinez?
