Speaking as someone who once allowed a kid to get points for effort for answering "Ethel" to a question about the nickname of Johanson's discovery, I still relish this in others.

A Texas high school principal was told to remove a photo of him and his wife from his social media account because a parent had emailed a complaint that asked the question "Is this the [person] we want leading our schools?"

District Calls Anniversary Photo of High School Principal and His Wife ‘Questionable'

    Here's the photo:

    James-Whitfield tx principal.jpg

I wonder what the problem is? Could it be him actually about to kiss his wife? Could be it the complainant is put off by the bicep tattoo? Are they worried about the wife's top being not properly buttoned?

Or could be ... something else?

Of course, now the district is saying there are other photos from the same shoot that are the problem, although the principal claims the above photo was the only one referred to at first.

Oh by the way, the principal has come under criticism from some parents over the dreaded Critical Race Theory?

A popular refrain from various small "grassroots groups" in Texas is accusing local school districts of teaching CRT.

One small problem: Critical Race Theory does not exist as a curriculum in colleges, much less high schools. Another small problem: The Texas Education Agency has not approved CRT as a curriculum, even if it did exist.

It's only popped up at one of the ISDs that I cover and board members are being polite and letting these moonbats inveigh during public comments sections. But the last one took up almost two hours.
