Does anyone dislike National Treasure? I mean, it’s not a “good” movie but I’ve watched it with several different groups and I think everyone found it ridiculous, of course, but fun and enjoyable.

Two reasons to watch that movie: Selma Hayek.

Some great nominations already, so trying to hit on a couple that haven't been mentioned...

    - "Congo." Ernie Hudson and Tim Curry are in a different movie, and having a great amount of fun. The plot hinges on diamonds, talking gorillas, killer gorillas and lasers. Oh, and sesame seed cake. Covered on "How Did This Get Made?"

    - "Hobgoblins." An MST3K movie, but it's so vapid and stupid, it works without their commentary as well. (With it, it's probably tied for my favorite episode of the show, along with "Merlin's.") It's a tacky, cheap and stupid production, just barely above the quality of a home movie.

    - "Airborne." Generally not remembered, because there wasn't a DVD release for a long time and another similar movie - "Brink!" - came out a couple years later. Because that was on Disney, got played way more often. But "Airborne" is the better "fish out of water" movie, and features some of the first movie roles with Jack Black and Seth Green. It's not a great movie, and basically follows the playbook of stuff like "The Mighty Ducks," just about hockey and rollerblading, but - The end of the movie has a long downhill rollerblading race that I would watch whenever it was on cable TV, haha.

Tin Cup is so terrible yet I can't not watch it when its on (usually The Golf Channel).

Same for The Color of Money, which has not held up well at all.

The Wash with Dr. Dre, Snoop, George Wallace and Eminem.

Down Periscope is a guilty pleasure whenever it pops up on cable.
One of those underrated ensemble movies with a bunch of "that guy" actors who play their parts very well.

Ooo, nice pick. There were a bunch of mildly amusing comedies like that in the 1990s and 2000s. Now, thanks to the economics of the box office, pretty much all of it lands on Netflix or cable networks.

I wouldn't have imagined The Color of Money would show up on this thread. One of my favorites, and Paul Newman's lone Oscar (which is of course ridiculous). How do you think it has failed to hold up, besides just being old?
