The GQPers would just whine about how the big bad MEDIUH is bullying them again.

There needs to be a standing box with the governor with blood-soaked hands and a daily count.

Surprised, as people were fleeing cities left and right last year.

IIRC, your address for Census purposes is as of April 1. Maybe folks hadn't gotten out of Dodge yet, even though they'd had time.

Anecdotes are not data and the raft of stories about folks fleeing big cities almost all had the same denominator -- they were about people with the resources to leave their homes, i.e., the wealthy or remote workers with the means to move. That's not all that big a slice of the population.

Many landed in Vermont. Housing boomed like rarely seen in the Green Mountain State. Historic year for realtors. Vermont now trying to figure out how to keep them for the long term.

And here in Colorado, especially in the mountains. But again, the date was as of April 1. A lot has changed since April 1, 2020.
