Am I missing something? I despise Gaetz and Greene and Qbert and Gohmert more than at least half the country, but the only potential crime I see here is solicitation of prostitution. The story refers to "women" and not "girls." If I've missed something, I'd love to be proven wrong and for somebody to point out what I missed. Because this cretin deserves to go to prison for any number of things.

 

One of the women was apparently 17 at the time, which opens Gaetz up to potentially serious federal charges if he induced her to cross state lines for purposes of sex. It's been strongly suggested that's what Gaetz and Greenberg did, though nothing has been made public explicitly stating such.

If it was clear she didn't travel with him, as some if the women did, then the federal investigation should have and likely would have wrapped up months ago.

 

Gaetz has repeatedly demonstrated his tastes for girls -- and boys -- under 18.

He's following the usual Trumpfuck strategy of committing the crime right out in public so he can claim, "only a fool would commit such a crime right out in public, therefore that proves I must be innocent. Therefore nobody should even talk about it."
