Either the ball really really jumps out of there, or they've moved the fences in 40 feet.

I broke down and popped some Orville Redenbacher. The sight of all those corn rows finally got to me.

    Beautiful sunset.

Because no one asked, I'll add that I don't cry when Kevin Costner asks his Dad to play catch. I had plenty of catches with my Dad, and went to Game 6 of the 1977 World Series with him, so my childhoods baseball memories are secure. But I do get emotional when Costner's daughter is injured.

I'll add that as a kid I built a lot of models made by the Ertl Co. of Dyersville, so knew of that place long before the movie.

I think a good sequel to FOD could be made, featuring Ray and Annie living on into their seventies, operating the field, and making money because as Terry Mann said, "people will come," and they did.

But over three or four decades, the magic fades. Things get commercialized. So maybe a younger generation of Kinsellas might wonder if it ever really happened at all.

Don’t forget the Jazz. How the fuck is this a uniform worn by the same team Stockton and Malone played for?

He certainly isn't the world's greatest actor (but he's better than many think), but man, to an outsider it looks as if Kevin Costner's had one hell of a great ride.

Ray Kinsella and John Dutton. Two parts many actors would kill for.

I'm still trying to get thru the no-hitter everyone says he throws as a Tiger at Yankee Stadium.

I've tried getting to the end 25 times.

The full production, sure, no need to hype it for weeks. But it has a chance to be baseball's equivalent of the Winter Classic.
