    Now do Post-Presidency Trump.
Podcasting vs. fomenting the overthrow of the government. Netflix vs. encouraging the growth of a killer virus.

You said “He didn't listen to them to them with any consistency, or at all.”

Specifically on what things did Donald Trump buck the military?

Trump never listens to anyone, ever, with any consistency. It’s one of his weaknesses.

I also wonder about the "underemployed" number we used to see thrown around (usually in the 10-20 percent range).

Always figured that meant a bunch of people are working one or multiple part-time jobs, instead of a full-time job with benefits. Part-time workers count as "employed" in the official stats, right?

Post-Presidencies of the Presidents of My Lifetime as I Remember Them:
Truman: Involved in behind the scenes Democratic politics without much effect as neither Stevenson nor Kennedy listened to him.
Eisenhower: Wrote memoirs. Played golf. Heart condition kept him in private much of the time.
LBJ: Went back to the ranch, let his hair grow, kept drinking and smoking until the heart attack that killed him.
Nixon: Worked assiduously, with some success, to come back from disgrace to attain elder statesman status.
    Carter: Decades of good works.
Reagan: Declining health was whole deal.
Bush 41: Worked to get his sons ahead in GOP politics. Did attain elder statesman status and deserved it.
Clinton: Raised tons of money for his quite worthy foundation. Chased more tail.
Bush 43: Withdrew from public life completely. Painted with some talent. Did partner with Clinton in Haiti earthquake relief effort.
Obama: Some Democratic political activity, mostly aimed at voter turnout. Wrote memoirs which while hardly a page-turner, was better than usual Presidential memoir. Spent time chilling on the Vineyard (a fine place for it). Gave a birthday party which pissed off Maureen Dowd because she wasn't invited.
Trump: Working assiduously on his continued descent into madness.

We have 1000 pages of post-presidency Trump. I think it’s been covered pretty well.

Didn’t try hard enough? Jesus, does no one remember 6 of his 8 years was basically Republicans throwing this country into the shitter just to spite the Black man?

And fuck, the man who is still wildly popular wanted to celebrate a milestone birthday but thought it was a bad idea in covid. But yes, let’s post a moronic column to just ask questions that somehow prove something about the cools. Are we next going to get a thread asking why does Obama suck now?

Biden promotes vaccines with 'Dude With Sign'

The White House has teamed up with yet another social media figure to promote the COVID-19 vaccine, this time partnering with the man behind the popular page "Dude With Sign."

The president posed alongside the social media star, Seth Phillips, in a photo posted to the Instagram account on Friday, with each holding a sign urging people to get vaccinated.
