Besides, Dowd sucks out loud as a writer or thinker or whatever the hell she is supposed to be.

I really wish that he weren't discussed. He has never one day in his life been interesting enough to have this much attention.
He has engulfed the news cycle, wouldn't you say?

Having dealt with his publicist to try and get him for an interview, that sounds about right. I think he's a cartoon character that's bought into his own bullshit at this point.

Obama’s big problem was he kept trying to compromise with those same Republicans who were throwing the country in the shitter instead of repeating “You assholes fucked up Iraq and caused the Great Recession. We’re doing this our way now since your way obviously didn’t work so you can either come up with some agreeable ideas or kiss my ass.”

Four pages later and I am still dumbstruck that someone cited Mo Dowd agreeing with his dour, neo-Puritan outlook like it was a point in his favor. The mind boggles. That’s like seeking air cover from Skip Bayless for your shitty sports take.

I liked the first season or two of the show, before it got more cartoonish. That's how I feel about all of these "improvement" shows though - I find them really interesting at first, but then obviously, the host and/or producers feel the need to "top" themselves. The only one that didn't decay was Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (UK), and that's probably because it was only six episodes, and eventually led to the more hyperbolic U.S. version. "The Profit" on CNBC was also good, until you realized that Lemonis' play for most businesses was to just scale efficiency up with his own companies. All of these shows are way more interesting when they're just describing the niche economics of the relative business, whether we're talking bars, sit down restaurants or storage locker flipping.

    I hadn’t planned on it.

Take it up with Dowd, you don’t like her take.

The obsession with Obama's tent part seems to be right out of the Trump playbook. Deflect, deflect, deflect. Ignore the runup to the 1/6 "patriots" getting their asses thrown in prison, soon to be followed by TFG. And, dammit, I hope Obama wore a tan suit.
