    I was thinking of the kicker, who is one of my favorite examples of why the phrase African American is problematic. (For those who don't know, Gary Anderson is originally from South Africa.)

    These guys were all high school quarterbacks at the same time, within a 20-mile radius of each other: John Elway, Tom Ramsey, Jay Schroeder, Babe Laufenberg. There might have been one more whose name I can't remember right now.
