That was one loud pop for Punk.

This is fuckin' amazing. AEW absolutely hit it into the stratosphere with this debut.

Only thing that could've made it better was if it was a total shock, but that's pretty much impossible now.

As an MJF fan I would have marked out huge for that but they might have had to call out the Marines to quell the riot.

I am not sure I have watched much WWE since Punk left, I was a huge fan of his when he was there, he was great in the ring and on the mic. I loved that great feud he had with Jericho and remember an awesome match he had with Daniel Bryan, looking forward to seeing what's ahead for him in AEW.

Pet peeve can they stop saying Christian is undefeated? We’ve all seen him lose literally hundreds of times. Its not necessary to get him over, its stupid

Well, he IS undefeated in AEW, and that's what they're using to set him up as the #1 contender.

No different than if Clayton Kershaw starts a season undefeated, but we know he's lost many times in the past.

I can just imagine Punk on the mic with the likes of MJF, Omega, the Bucks. He's got lots of past history with Moxley and Jericho, too.

He even helped give John Cena a remarkable late-career surge. Cena was stuck in that 2007-12 rut where he was Hogan 2.0, having the same match night in and night out, until his feud with Punk leading up to their famous 2013 Money in the Bank match. After that, Cena started experimenting with new moves and having 5-star, 30-minute bangers of matches with guys like Punk, Bryan and Rusev.
Not sure what happened there, but as far as ring work it was like Punk lit a fire under Cena.

God, Punk vs MJF would be epic

Thankfully we can now in all likelihood say it WILL be epic.

My favorite entrance music (and entrance) of the Attitude era.

Well, WWE put the hammer into the "Break here in case of emergency" box with Becky. Question is: was this the plan all along, or did they do it as a rebuttal to Punk, or a response to Sasha being MIA?
