the YO-YOing of the belts between Banks and Flair, in some ways. Some of those were 5 minute TV matches.

John Cena’s been squashed by Lesnar and Taker in short matches in stadiums.

They did it to Yokozuna at Wrestlemania 9 and he was champion again 2 months later and the worlds biggest heel for the next 2 years.

i think people are way over reacting to this. Can’t wait to see what kind of shade Becky throws about on her Twitter

I'd argue that the yo-yo of the belts between Banks and Flair hasn't helped either, though. Cena wasn't squashed until he had been on top for 5 to 10 years. Yokozuna lost after having a 10 to 15 match with Bret Hart.

A different era, obviously, but if Hogan beating Yoko happened in today’s era, everyone would be shitting on it, and justifiably so.

Honestly, I don't think people were all that thrilled with it at the time either, or am I just thinking that because that finish has been universally criticized in retrospect. I know I didn't care for that finish at the time.

Point is Yoko survived and Belair will survive this.

its no different than losing an MITB cash in, booking wise. She was presented as surprised/caught off guard. NOT booked as a no threat squash like say Eric Rowan vs the Rock or Kofi.

I guess. I mean, she's young and talented, so I imagine she'll overcome this. But it just seems like another example of the WWE's booking not really helping anyone involved. There was already more than enough filler on the card - they could have removed or pre-showed something else, in order to clear 10 to 15 for Lynch vs. Belair.

Belair will survive this if the E books her as such. For every Yoko, there’s also a Kofi. The E has shown that they can’t always be trusted to book right.

The thing that sucks about it was the crowd was hyped to see Becky vs. Bianca, and the E decided to book it in a shitty way to set up for the future instead of either giving the fans what they wanted (a full match) or booking it to set up for the future first match (Carmella shenanigans). Of the three main options, they chose the worst. They overthought this.

Apparently, Nikki wasn't allowed to attend SummerSlam, she claims. Wonder if it was a stipulation Cena set.

Impressed that Jessika Carr is reffing Takeover in Orlando less than 24 hours after working SummerSlam in Vegas.

What a fucking fight between Dragonov and WALTER. They looked like they were trying to kill each other. I don’t know what’s been better this weekend, Punk’s return or this.

Looks like Dakota and Kross are now bound for the main roster. Dakota could be some much-needed new blood in the women's division, but Kross has already been ruined. Probably destined to turn out more like Lars Sullivan than anything successful.

So is Cole off to Raw or Dynamite? Hoping for the former

Was match of the weekend Edge/Rollins or OReilly/Cole? Really could go either way
