I'm arguing that if we truly are a nation of Christians, and our government is truly a government "of the people," our immigration policy should be a reflection of those Christian values.

As we all know though: The only "Christian values" allowed in government are "ban abortion!" and "outlaw the gays!"

Please show your work, how is it that the Democrats bear more than 50% of the immigration problem?

Who again is demonizing the immigrants? Who is against the Dreamers?

What exactly are the immigrants doing that is so wrong to America? Paying their taxes, because the LEAST likely person in our country to avoid paying any taxes are illegal immigrants, its taken out of all W-2 wages, and paid at the pump, the store and in the rent.

Am I saying open borders? No. But I'm also saying look in the mirror, the problem lies with us, not them. Democrats at least have the dignity to acknowledge that and don't spend billions on a ridiculous "wall" that does nothing. Democrats also don't support immigration stops in violation of the 4th amendment hundreds of miles from the border.

I’m starting to wonder whether I understand Christianity, or at least the white chamber-of-commerce-Jesus version people have been selling me much of my life that demands no personal sacrifices be made unless it is sacrificing the ability to question the power structure of the suburban and micropolitan portions of the Bible Belt.

To state the obvious, we're a constitutionally secular nation.

What's more, from our founding through most of our history, with the exception of some dark embarrassing jingoistic periods, America saw itself as an exceptional place that people from elsewhere wanted to to come to. For example, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington both believed that and wanted to encourage as much immigration as possible. It was actually a source of pride and patriotism.

That's 100 percent true, yet one would think in a representative democracy the law of the land should represent the values of those who are represented.

    Jesus loves the little children
All the children that are white
Even though he was a Jew
He loves the ones he can see through
Jesus loves wealthy, spoiled children that are white
