    I knew that (who?) and still wrote it wrong. I sentence myself to 39 lashes under the hand of a pontius pilot. Something I just learned thanks to Wiki: Pontius means "man of the sea."

    My wife has an appointment for a booster, and I'm so freakin' grateful. I'm not eligible, but I'm more than ok with it.

    As near as I can make out, I will be eligible for the booster come the first week of December. I will of course get it if possible.

    The rate of black respondents saying they have gotten a shot appears to be appreciably higher than CDC data suggest. Then again, data by race is only available for 58% of those who have been vaccinated. This thing ain’t easy to measure.

    This morning, LSU, with a 102,321-seat stadium, said it will require fans to prove vaccination or recent negative test. Nobody has followed suit today. Georgia specifically said, “not happening.”
