Given that gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins, Jason didn't need to clarify his sinner status for us.

Also, he remains a deeply silly person.

I remain amazed that Fox News hasn't hired him full-time. And I'm serious about that. He'll say anything.

You ever notice how evangelicals like to pretend they have deep, dark pasts they’ve been rescued from and it turns out they got a handjob at age 17 and smoked oregano behind a shed one time?

I take solace from the fact when I was in the movement I recognized how lame I was…and continue to be.

How does that differ from every other stupid ignorant jerk in sports talk from Colin to Stephen to Greenberg?

I guess I sinned thousands and thousands of times in my 20s and 30s.

    The more you know ...

Well, that pretty much covers lust.

Now do pride, greed and gluttony.

Does committing a sin actually equate to satanic?

The overarching question in this and a handful of other threads here is "What the hell happened to Jason Whitlock," and the answer has been pretty clear for a while. I'm sure he's playing to a crowd that's eager for what he's serving up, but it's also pretty obvious he's gone far down the religion rabbit hole, and through that entry point gotten deep into right-wing beliefs.

His most recent column is about whether or not "The Purge" is going to break out in NFL stadium. "It feels as if the puppet masters are frustrated we no longer have world wars, so they're promoting civil wars across the globe." That's full-on Qanon shit. Then with all this satanic stuff? He's in deeeeep, well past the point of playing contrarian like a dipshit like Clay Travis.

I hope Jason is finding what he needs in religion, but his writing and opinions aren't to be taken any more seriously at this point than the rantings and ravings of a Qanon message board.
