If something's out there, Pocky will find out. The guy never sleeps. And never eats anything but take-out Chinese.

The asshole should be tied to a stake in the hot August sun to suffer the same fate.

Trained my foot. It's just Mike Helton's coonhound and she's going to point at any crew member that doesn't give her a treat.

The Cup Series director is gone for alleged dog neglect and now they'll have Covid-sniffin' dogs in the garage.

Please let Kyle Busch drive the Pedigree car this weekend.

Heh, didn't know that existed -- and I would agree. Also did a quick scroll and had never heard of 15 of the primary sponsors.

That was a cluster from the time Turner landed the website. Every sponsor had to match EXACTLY on the entry list each week, and we had a data management system that somebody thought should have DROPDOWNS for each field instead of being able to, you know, type the damn name in. So the field for sponsors, given that SDMS handled three series and 50 years worth of races, was well over 50,000 saved inputs (with at least 10 percent of them incorrect, but NO WAY to delete them because they all linked somewhere).

DeWalt, Lowe's, Dupont, Home Depot would switch unique associate sponsors for all 36 races, which meant checking the dropdown, THEN having to create a new one every Monday. Imagine doing that for 43 Cup teams, 40 Busch teams and 36 Truck teams. FUN!

When the guy who was responsible for Entry Lists got canned before our final season, I'm certain I spent 20 hours a week on NASCAR's stupid entry list updates. Not only would they send twice-a-day changes, but some car or truck would suddenly show up unannounced at a venue and I'd get a call from the editor's desk because it needed to be created -- and it all linked to some crazy-ass NASCAR driver code. One time I was in Rehoboth Beach after Friday Cup practice and had to pull over in a metered parking space to input some Haywood Jablowme one-off truck guy because he decided to make a last-minute entry.

And it was never NASCAR's fault. If it wasn't right, points and membership (yep, that's an actual NASCAR office) would throw us under the bus every Monday.
