Not sure what you’re referencing, unless it’s the number font and the placement. It looks like pretty much the same he runs now.

Also will be curious to see Kurt and Kyle in the same equipment next year.

Last I checked they don’t have a second charter. I don’t know if it really matters since there are four open spots a week and half the time there’s not a full field.

    Derp.

The placement. Pretty sure NASCAR wasn’t ready to announce that.

I got that alert too and the correction. Pretty bad, but you also can’t bat 1.000.

I'm old enough to remember when Wild Bill, Texas Terry, Pearson, Petty, Cale, Dale, Bobby, Davey, Rusty, Tony, Geoff, Jeff, Jimmie, Jaws, et al had the same sponsor and paint scheme all season long. You didn't need a drop down menu to ID the cars on Sunday afternoon.

I’m old enough to remember when a bunch of cars all had the same sponsor — JD Stacy.

Who was not the greatest flim-flammer in NASCAR history -- that's Angela Harkness/Fatemeh Karimkhani by multiple laps -- but Stacy left a lot of bankrupt businesses behind, including I think a partially-built condo in the Bahamas. The number of people in NASCAR scammed by crooked owners, sponsors and drivers is way larger than those who somehow got paid what they were owed.

Numbers right behind the front wheel isn't a new concept, as shown by this photo from 1959.

Now, bringing back convertibles would be dangerous as hell.

And I still just want to slap the smug off Kurt Busch's face. He's like the Wesley Crusher of NASCAR. (Wil Wheaton is actually a very funny guy, from what I've heard.)

Mr. Ginn … Mr. Bobby Ginn, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

Also, we have to have Tim Beverley in this conversation as well.

Damn that's great. Was that guy a lone wolf out there, like a helmetless Craig MacTavish?

    Beverley bought DW’s team, right?

He still has that punchable face but I’ve come around a bit on him. If you don’t like it, you can lick my salty balls. He’s more likable than his brother, but I know that’s a low bar.

I know I’ve said it before, but I find myself more into this season than I have any other in at least 10 years. Some of that is having the ability to watch/listen, but I think it’s more than that. If only they’d stop with the moronic ideas like the LA Coliseum race.
