Muh Muh Muh My Corona (virus)

My first-semester astronomy teacher was a NASA tech guy in a previous life. He was one of the men in white shirts with skinny black ties in the old footage of Mission Control at Houston. He was in his late seventies when he taught at MSU. I'm imagining some of my classmates reading the riot act to a little maskhole before we lost our source of great stories about the space race.

Are we going overboard in trying to avoid hurt feefees?

 

Given that I have seen projections of another hundred thousand people dead in a month, we need to be nutkicking the sumbitches where they'll feel it most.

I read recently that the IMHE projections weren’t that far off. I think that was the early impetus for the masking and social distancing.

I'd have to find it, and as much as I graze I may or may not be able to. That's why I phrased it the way I did. It struck me as a credible source, but I scan a lot of pages. I'll see if something in my browser history sticks out so I can locate it.

 

Don't leave out the warnings from the Big Pharma companies who make it and stand to profit from selling it. The ones that the sheep trust not to hurt them with products the manufacturers warn against, and don't trust the products they say are safe for humans. Pinheads.

I thought everybody's dad came home from work with a pocket protector and a skinny black tie, because mine did -- and so did most of my friends. If I can find one of his photos from his time at Mission Control between 1964-66, I'll post it. He still gets together every Thursday morning for breakfast with a group of guys who worked at the Cape during that era. Fun to hear their stories.
