He should have pointed it out as "stupid person," though, not "white person." The guy who tweeted it looks white in the drawing. The idiot's behavior must be indicative of him.

Apparently he was a veteran in some kind of mental health crisis. Oh, and was intoxicated. And fighting with his girl.

They should just shut down alcohol sales at the airport. I would surmise 90% of this crap is due to drunk idiots.

During the frantic move to get out of NOLA in 2005, people started reserving hotel rooms anywhere and everywhere they could. The company I did social work for also offered trained travel agents. We were so short-handed, it turned into an all hands on deck thing.

Please bear with me. I do have a point.

A dozen of us who had human behavior/cultural studies backgrounds got pulled from the social work tip to learn SABRE and a couple of other reservation languages. Initially, we were to do travel coordination for the Red Cross. In the meantime, we also took calls from people looking to get out of the path of Katrina. It didn't take long for the range of available rooms to move from north Louisiana to Missouri, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. Some of my cohorts who stayed with that part of the project were only able to offer rooms in Nebraska, Illinois, and points much further out by a day or two before Katrina hit.

    So yeah I believe it.

(Lagniappe: At one shelter I worked at in the early oughts, I used to get calls from other shelters in the southeast who were desperate to place families and had no room. Respite care and mental health facs dwindled after 9/11. In Middle TN we went from around 550 beds for peds/ado mental health care with an average occupancy of 68% to less than ten. Those calls from Caddo Parish and Broward County weren't so shocking after a while. The rest of the country is seeing how thin our resources can get when the poop hits the fan.)

Yeah, that’s why they don’t fear blacks moving in next door, Hispanics moving into town and Muslim refugees settling in their cities.

I'm not downplaying his problems, but if he were a black veteran he'd have a lot of bullet holes in him.
