That is true of everything. I will add that there's an established industry raking in billions of dollars teaching the conventional golf swing. So thousands of teaching pros are disincentivized from trying something new, which really isn't new. Like Tucker cars, Betamax video, and the Mac.

The single plane is also easier on the back.

Not professional golf, but a pretty neat story from the amateur ranks. Ellen Port, one of the better senior women's golfers out there, wins the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association Senior Amateur championship yesterday, playing from the same tees as the men.

29th Metropolitan Senior Amateur Championship by Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association on Exposure

We've had one woman attempt to play in our Mid-Amateur championship, a past USGA champion, and she finished T23. So this is a pretty damn cool accomplishment.

Didn't Port tie for low amateur at the Womens Senior Open?

Very cool story. Looking through the photos, she's definitely got the best swing, on balance, good finish.

So looks line Dechamboo has a new sparring partner after calling out Cantlay on the 14th.

He felt Cantlay was walking as he was getting ready to hit.

    Bryson birdies 16
Cantlay in the drink on 17
    But Bryson also bogeys
Up by 1 going to 18

Bryson stubbed his chip on 17 the way I did yesterday. Leaving the door open.

Cantley drains 20 footer for birdie on 18, Bryson misses 12 footer. Playoff. This is pretty good stuff.

Regardless of who wins I would be betting against both of these guys next week. If I was a gambler.
